about
I'm a full-time artist living and working in rural Hampshire. My work explores the natural world as a presence. Daily walks through woodland, a space long associated with folklore and rituals, allow for a reconnection to nature, a quietening of the outside world, and time to notice and look with curiosity.
I work mostly in acrylic and oil pastel, although my practice includes drawing from both life and photographs I’ve collected, using pencil, conte and charcoal. Images emerge intuitively, as the shapes, colours, movements and atmosphere I observe and absorb, are interlaced with fragmented memories, dreams and stories. My artworks offer a place of sanctuary and curiosity, where reality is suspended and the imagination can wonder.
A selection of my work is available for purchase under "available” on the top menu. Or please get in touch if you see a piece on Instagram which isn’t yet shown here.
